The Pep 'Survivor List' (Senior and Junior (loanee) players)

Nobody was saying he doesn't have "heart" (whatever that is), and we all know he gets kicked around, however your kidding yourself if you think he defends from the front, he does little or no defending in most games, and he will be required to by Pep, as will all the players, or they simply won't be picked.

Will Pep be looking forward to working with David Silva, of course he will, and very few have said otherwise.

That's simply not true. A healthy Silva did his bit of defending, or at least he tried to, but very often the pressure generated by him alone is not enough. Same with most of the other attacking players.

I think nasri is really interesting. He's still our most consistent passer, amazing in tight spaces and can play deeper.

On paper he's in our top 5 or so pep-style players. He gets a lot of stick but he had a massive hand in the last two things we won. I think he could be the Renaissance act.

You could be spot on about Nasri. The fact is that if we keep the ball well the effort our players need to put in is entirely up to them. They can control tempo and pace and run only when they most need to in order to find space. Barca and Bayern were happy to slowly grind teams down then work tirelessly for up to five minutes to win possession back. Pep was always a believer that when you lose the ball you bunt like a pack to win it back at which point you can again control tempo.

Silva, nasri, de bruyne could all potentially play together under pep. As long as they work together off the ball to win it back (and know the specific areas to press) then we will be fine because once we have possession our formation will be whatever we want it to be.

Will need to see how he is when comes back from injury.

We also don't know how long he was carrying injuries before he finally cracked. We can see how average Silva is in those circumstances. Could be Nasri has been in a similar situation.

if one of the first things he does was look to get rid of Hart id be very surprised and disappointed,

Not sure if he was carrying a knock but his latest injury is a fresh one. He tore the muscle right off the bone on the training ground. Would be pleasantly surprised to see him feature again this season.

He didn't look fit though did he ?

People just called him a lazy twat but when you look at how often Pellegrini seems to be playing players whilst carrying inuries, it could be that Nasri is another who has suffered in form due to that.

No he didn't, you could well be right.

Given that Fernando said he played all last season injured too.

Another thing I noticed too was Yaya when he was warming up to come on in the Palace game ( which was hilarious to see ) had strapping under his knee, when he came on the strapping was gone.

We done the current squad as who will stay and who will go. The big question is what about the clubs players currently out on loan what chances have they got of getting into the Pep squad.

There is some list of players out there playing around europe at the moment I wonder how many will go and stay. I think the likes of Denyer will stay around the squad and maybe Ntcham too the rest under 21s may well be on loan again for another season while the likes of Jovetic could well be sold if we get the right money.
