The Prisoner

The music in the Prisoner is so weird and good
(Apart from the main theme which isn't that memorable )

This must have sounded so weird in 1967. Very ahead of its time.
A bit like the BBC Radiophonic Workshop stuff.

I first saw it in 1967? and I believe, it flopped initially, was re-shown a year later and became a big success.
That period in history had the quirky 'Avengers' series at it's height, and the brilliantly made and cast 'Prisoner,' with it's surreal content
fast became a cult that has a large worldwide following to this day.
The last episode was completely off the wall, and the superb Alexis Kanner, singing 'Dem Bones' portrayed the
rebelliousness of youth to perfection.
It was shown very late at night when telly finished at midnight lol.

Portmeirion is worth a visit. Quite unique. Go a bit further west into the Lleyn peninsular for some great beaches, esp. Hell's Mouth and Whistling Sands. Abersoch, if you must!

Played golf a few times at nefyn. Stunning coastline.
Tricky course, to say the least. Par threes can be a wedge or a 3 iron, depending on the wind.
Lovely part of Wales that.
