Tiger Balm

It was originally an opiate based medicine which is where it grew it's reputation for being a cure all. Obviously no opium in it these days but still hangs on to its old rep. Like an earlier poster, I first came across it as a kid when we lived in Singapore back in the mid 70s. Love the smell to this day but not sure it has any real medicinal properties.

Tried it, didn't work. Just left loads of crumbs on the floor.

Comes in 2 flavours

Red (muscle aches and pains);
  • 11.0% Natural Camphor
  • 10.0% Menthol
  • 5.0% Clove Oil
  • 7.0% Cajuput Oil
  • Also contains: Cinnamon Oil, Dementholised Mint Oil, Yellow Soft Paraffin and Hard Paraffin.
White (tension headaches);
  • 1% Natural Camphor
  • 8.0% Menthol
  • 1.5% Clove Oil
  • 13.0% Cajuput Oil
  • Also contains: Dementholised Mint Oil, Yellow Soft Paraffin and Hard Paraffin.
No active ingredients whatsoever. In fact for a tension headache, you are probably better off rubbing it on your genitals. You'll soon forget about the tension headache.

A dab around each nostril when I'm blocked up and my nose clears up. I don't find it helps headaches.
