Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
Watching the game on the computer and after the first goal a load of stewards piled down to the front of the East Stand, not too far from the corner flag and were there for a good while trying to sort something out.
What happened?

PLEASE JOIN THE FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS' FEDERATION - IT'S FREE!!!!

The more fans that join, gives more power to the FSF's elbow.
They are now involved with the issue in block 109 on Saturday. The FSF is there to support fans on so many levels for domestic, European and International games.

Please take a look at their website <a class="postlink" href="http://www.fsf.org.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">www.fsf.org.uk</a>

and JOIN up - it is absolutely free, so what have you to lose?

Apparently some Villa fans got into one of the City blocks (109, I think) and it kicked off. Mentioned in the in-match thread over on the match day forum.

noticed this aswell. my dad is there today. he texted me telling me it looked like it was kicking off between fans and stewards. i just assumed they were kicking people out for standing.

noticed this aswell, if its the stewards telling people to sit down they can actually fuck off, there going to get a smack soon,

im on 500 posts :D

They were doing the usual trying to get people to sit down and allegedly a Showsec steward hit someone. It kicked off and someone was taken out. This guy had a young kid who was very upset and crying. Fans were trying to block the aisle but the police shoved through and took loads of abuse. Then the guy who was hit was taken out.

The stewards action was completely inexcusable from what I saw and heard and was far more dangerous than people standing. They were obviously told to back off in the second half.

There was nearly a riot today. This stupidity needs to stop now.

Re: What was the trouble in singing section?

Ridiculous, the club need to sort these "stewards" out, not the first time and won't be the last time that they pick on the vulnerable.

60 year old man assaulted by the stewards and one of the stewards took a smack off a fan. Those stewards are fucking arseholes. Wont pick out anyone unless they know they are an easy target!

City really need to sort this heavy handed scumbags out!

Correction: This stupidity needed to stop 6 years ago. The police, the council, the premier league and the club have got this whole thing so wrong it's not funny anymore.
