Pep Guardiola is eyeing up an emergency move for Bayern Munich & Germany defender Holger Badstuber (27). [ESPN + The Sun]

Badstuber has only six months remaining on his Bayern deal and could cost City as little as £3m in January. [Sun]

It appears Jose Fonte is available, don't think Pep would go for him though plus he's 33 and don't think that would fall in with the whole revitalising our squad. Good defender though, I suppose some could see him as a good short term fix but Southampton will probably demand a decent fee. Liverpool or United possibly?

Had a really good season, but can't see Arsenal bidding that amount for him. Think the Torino chairman is trying to start a bidding war.

It does seem un-Arsenal like but maybe they are planning on life without Alexis Sanchez.

City are leading the race to sign Barnsley right-back James Bree (19) who has shot to prominence in the Championship this season. [Mirror]

apparently a very good young player. barnsley seem to be producing some great young players.

I think he would be perfect under Pep and improve greatly.
