This could be interesting. It seems a number of investors, including unnamed ones in China, the US, Saudi Arabia the UAE, are working with FIFA to set up a club world cup. Although the plan is to hold this every 4 years, UEFA apparently are "wary" as they see it as a rival to the Champions League.

They're supposedly putting $25bn into this and expecting revenues of the same amount. Interesting.

No thanks................just money talking again

More on this. It seems the Chinese backer could well be CMC, who own 14% of City Football Group. If so it shouldn't be hard to work out who the UAE backer is. It would be nice to see UEFA effectively emasculated. I've heard snippets for a while suggesting that our owners are looking to bypass UEFA's corruption and protectionsim of its old guard by setting up a new competition. This must be it.

Happy with that, anything that pisses on Eufa’s chips is okay in my book.

In fact I’ll chuck in £5
