And the BBC are Tories, which is worse. Time for a TV license payer strike.

Awful but 'we play for you' was laughable as well.

According to Wikipedia, he played for them 12 times in the league over 2 seasons, scoring a masterful 2 goals, although he was out for 6 months in the first season with a broken leg. He did, however, receive a league winners medal in that season thanks to a special dispensation (sic) from the FArce, despite not qualifying for one. This was in the period 1992 - 94, ie, 20 odd years ago. Naturally, his goal scoring achievements at all the other clubs he played for are never mentioned, nor who the teams were. I wonder why that is? A latter-day Gary Birtles, but he played in the Premier League era, when the media's rag cock sucking began in earnest, so it's no real surprise that the BBC still think he's relevant.

Seems a nice guy, though, and he certainly knows his way around older properties!

(Just like Wayne Rooney, who was on later!)

Saw an article in the newspaper today their team today is the first one over 400mill ( firstly how the hell have they spent that much on that dross ) and doesn't have any English players. Is this true? Ruining English football anyone?

  8. Brace yourself today blues for the giddy rags talking up their title chances if they beat West Ham. Won't last long though judging by their fixtures in October they will be way behind us and back in their usual place .

United will win today unfortunately. If the other teams appear to be in disarray then it leaves the door wide open for a title challenge. So the question is what will be more effective, exciting, expansive football or defensive and obstructive football?
