much like the Brexit vote over here
No one really believed it would happen,so when they got to the booth they thought, fuck it and voted for Trump as a protest

More likely they didnt go to the polls at all. The big weakness in the polls is that far more people tell the pollsters that they are going to vote than actually vote. The pollsters dont seem to be capable of adjusting their results adequately to reflect that the stay at homes will affect one side more than the other. When its a close race the polls encourage complacency on the part of the side that appears to be in the lead.

I don't recall it ever being discussed, or voted upon, in parliament or in an election campaign..these things are decided by civil servants in grubby little offices in Elephant & Castle.

Aye that'll be right. We civil servants can do what we like and never ever have to listen to our political masters and the morons who voted for them!!!

It was Mr Osbourne who decided that austerity was the way forward, happily supported by his MPs. Trouble is, NHS funding is being cut whilst demand for its services is going up by about 5%. Drug inflation in the NHS is rising by about 10% year on year, so something has to give.
