I agree. So far for every bad decision it's reversed, it's made at least 2 clear errors and approved 2 clear errors. 4:1 is not a goid ratio.

Dzeko's header in the QPR game would have been disallowed under VAR: there was a clear infringement 44 minutes earlier when Kiddo turned on the cappuccino machine slightly too soon, thus burning the beans. Had Mancini been given the option of reviewing this we'd have restarted the 2nd half slightly earlier, thus everything that followed would have been rendered irrelevant.

It’s ok joking about it but, Dzeko’s header would have been disallowed under VAR! Watch VK as that corner comes over and tell me that the VAR, whose job quite quickly seems to have morphed into “find a reason to disallow a goal”, would not have ruled it out for the foul. Rags would have won the title, we’d have blown the biggest chance we would have had and who knows where things would be now? If the Mata goal should be ruled out, we will struggle to score against Arsenal, as many of ours against them are ‘very marginal offsides’.

Nope, that's what would and will happen. EVERY goal will have an element of doubt. No celebrating wildly, everyone will be thinking, "Was there a foul in the build up? Could it be disallowed for some misdemeanor that occurred eons ago?" It's a fucking nonsense. The game we've watched and loved will be ruined. If that's true, then it's just daft. There's no point in allowing that corner to happen if the VAR knows any goal will have to be disallowed.

thats rubbish,the game is played as per normal and goals and red cards/dives in the box/penalty claims get looked at,if the ref has cocked up it gets put right,the stoppages will be few and far between despite what the doom mongers say,it just needs to bed in and the refs to be confident with it,it's brand new

I'm confused what bit is rubbish. So you're saying the commentator was wrong and that any goal scored from an incorrectly awarded corner would be allowed to stand?

VAR is only supposed to be used where there's a clear case of a refereeing error or the officials have missed something blatent
The Huddersfield rag match the VAR official was wrong twice

Huddersfield should have been awarded a penalty for Smalling's handball. It was piss funny listening to Graham Poll trying to defend why the penalty wasn't awarded.
Mata's goal should have stood as that was not a clear mistake. If he was offside it was by a knee which is not a clear error

They've overcome this in cricket by siding with the umpire's on field decision in the case of it being marginal and that's how it should be in football

After the match Poll said the "clear and obvious" thing doesn't apply to offside. The goal is automatically reviewed and if it's offside then it's disallowed, no matter how close it is.

Should have stopped at goal line tech which works well because its not subjective and is an instant decision. Always had reservations about VAR for the very reasons its is currently being criticised. If its to work then the VAR needs to become VR and a decision must be reached within seconds, the ref at the ground is then informed of the VR decision, only if it over rules him.

Was thinking the same but more along the lines of 2 high speed cameras running on rails (rabbit on a greyhound track style) down the touch lines.

Just needs a program that can monitor fouls offsides and last touch for throw ins/ corners.

Yes, because the constant incorrect decisions the refs make, the constant allegations that the refs cheat and the overall abuse to the ref is working really well. Fuck giving them any help whilst 22 players are constantly play acting, cheating and diving whilst 40,000 fans are appealing for every decision.

Let’s just leave it to the ref.
