Vardy ... Football Writers POTY.

He is not English.

Helps being English and playing for a London club normally but in this case they have just gone with the English stipulation.

By your logic why hasn't an English player won it every year?

Vardy has had an excellent season and most of his goals, gained Leicester points. He also was defending from the front as well as assisting his team mates.

He has been the most complete striker this season. English or not.

Not in the same league as Kun or Kane.

Not that it matters, this award and the others are practically meaningless.

Kun hasn't had a good season. When most of our fans consider him to be the best striker in the world he hasn't had a season that has been at that level. We have the worst record of any of the top teams against other top teams. These are the games where the worlds best perform in.
Vardy has outperformed him this season. Kane has scored more goals but his all round play hasn't been at the same level as Vardy's.

To quote Bill Murray in Caddyshack - it's the "Cinderella Story" that has won him the vote... from Non-League to League Champions and England call-up. That said, however, it is disgusting how Sergio keeps getting overlooked!

Vardy - 34 appearances, 22 goals(22 all comps), 6 assists(45 chances created), 385 passes completed(65%),89/284 headers won(31%), 36/86 take ons(42%), 32 tackles, 16 interceptions, 9 clearances, 3 blocks, 6 yellows 1 red

Kane - 36 appearances, 25 goals(28 all comps), 1 assist(41 chances created), 646 passes completed(73%), 70/206 headers won(34%), 46/91 take ons(51%), 24 tackles, 21 interceptions, 31 clearances, 7 blocks, 5 yellows 0 red

Aguero - 28 appearances, 23 goals(28 all comps), 2 assists(24 chances created), 564 passes completed(85%), 9/29 headers won(31%), 57/112 take ons(51%), 11 tackles, 6 interceptions, 0 clearances, 1 block, 1 yellow, 0 red

Kane has been the best striker in the league this season for me. Been more consistent, Vardy has 7 goals since mid December(the end of his run), Kane has 17 since then.. Kane actually works just as hard, if not harder too.
Kante would have been my vote for player of the season, was the reason they could play they way they did.
