Vincent Kompany suffered no reaction to playing 90 minutes against Southampton and is ready to start against Arsenal at Wembley. [Mirror]
Is that from Simon Mullock and if not are there any corroborating sources?

I know he hasn't been training as much in this system as Stones did, but I think we really missed the latter. Kompany is a great defender, but it came as no surprise that one of his needless, borderline idiotic fouls ended up in conceding a goal. I was actually impressed this season how less stupid fouls we make near our box this season, it seemed like everyone improved in this aspect from the old squad, bar Kompany.

Surely he has to retire from the Belgian national team if he wants a future with us?

Will he be able to play v United then Middlesbrough on Sunday? If he does it helps give the impression that he could play a part for City next season and beyond.

We miss leaders within our squad and Kompany is the best leader we have.
