    Just hope the club's detailed monitoring can get Vinny's fitness back on track. It was going so well for our captain during close season and up to the international break.

    I don't believe Pep is furious with him, as he always defends players re international shite, but if Kompany is injured regularly, the person Pep should be furious with, is himself for being stupid enough to gamble on a bloke who misses games at key times even when he's 'fit'.

    City have danced around the problem for some considerable time. 3 years maybe? We should have bought a player of equal stature instead of spending millions on millions in pursuit of inferior defenders who couldn't keep him out of the team in a month of Sundays. Our response to Kompany's problems has held us back for some time.
