Hola,

Any of you folks specialise in watch repairs, I have a couple of nice timepieces that I have not wore for years that need a service/battery replacement/bracelet additional link(s)/strap replacement etc to get them up and running again.
PM me if so

if its battery driven (quartz) then most jewellers will be able to do it as it will only require a bit of a clean and a new battery... unless theres damage to the glass / or watch face then you might need to go upmarket.

if its a self winding mechanism/ jewelled movement then thats a different story

Do it yourself - watch places charge you up the arse for simply unscrewing or popping a back and putting a £2 battery in

I’m a bit of a watch snob so i’d say if you have decent or vintage watches, do not try and repair them yourself.

Mind me asking what you have?

Automatics or quartz?

My advice if automatics is don’t bring them to high street jewellers. Go in to the most high end place near you and while they won’t fix them for you, they’ll know a guy who will be the perfect man for the job.
