Roasted turbot on the bone that i partly filleted and rubbed with lemon juice, garlic, olive oil and some chopped salted capers with chips and salad.

Washed down with a nice fruity bordeaux, yum.

That's sounds very nice and rustic. Although I would of gone with a nice picpoul de pinet ;-)
 
Cold leftover Chicken Shawarma wrapped in flour tortillas and dipped in my cupasoup - just to show what a northern fuckwit I am :-)

Shawarma is excellent though; Nigella recipe and not too spicy for the women folk.
 
In a hotel called the Hopping Hare in Dallington Northants, just had a ducks liver parfait, very very nice, and am lining up my favourite main course:

Fish and chips.
