What is the oldest song or chant that City fans sing?

full version of singing the blues

"I never felt more like singing the Blues
City win, United lose
Oh City
You've got me singing the blues."

"I never felt more like kicking a red
Kicking a red untill he's dead
Oh City
You've got me kicking a red."

"I never felt more like twatting a red
Baseball bat around his head
Oh City
You've got me twatting a red."

obviously the last two lines have been abbandoned.

another

If your standing on a corner
with a red scarf round your neck
city boys will come and get ya
and there'll break your fucking neck.

also

We're city, we're barmy, we're off our fucking heads

The one I miss hearing at home though is

We've got an M an A an N
a C an I-T-Y
we've got the greatest football team that money couldn't buy.
We come from maine rd manchester
we're gonna win fuck all.
And when we win the league this year we're gonna have a ball
We come from Maine rd, manchester
And that is where we play,
And when we win the league this year,
Your gonna hear us say...
We've got an M an A...

When that song is sung, the last few lines are always different between different groups of blues and I think that's why it doesn't last long.
Obviously my version is the original and best;)

yeah heard it with
we come from maine rd manchester and city is our name, city is our name, city is our name" last year, the version I put I first heard in 89, but expect it has many variations.

I remember being about seven and finding this version hilarious back then: "Georgie Best, Superstar, wears frilly knickers and a Playtex bra"
It seems there were two versions. I hadn't heard that one until this thread, but most seem to have.

HOWEVER, does that mean the version I know and heard is the 'Exclusive' White Label DJ Remix Super Cut? :-)

Now in 91 when I moved from windy corner to fully standing in the kippax near tge cage, there was a man at the back who sang (mainly on his own) this.

"when I was a lad me dad said to me
are you going down to wigan to watch the rugby?
I said no I don't think so
I'm away down to maine rd for a bit of agro
went with a bottle, went with a stick.
Killed a m****h and ended in nick.
Singing la la la la
La la la la la
La - la la
La la la la la CITY.

he would then shout sing you bastards and repeat it, a couple would join in, some deciding to mumble through the m*****h part.

He even once brought in lyric sheets and handed them out.
