It's a big change from Upton park. It's massive. They need to have a good season and get behind the team. Fill that and they have an extra man.

I have had a burning ambition for decades, season after season, to watch this team. When I first started reading results in the Football Pink my eye caught the name Accrington Stanley and it was one of those moments when something just clicks - not enough of a click to swap allegiance, mind. Whenever there has been a Rochdale v Stanley fixture there always seemed to be a home game at Maine Road or The Etihad. Now we have a direct railway line - Littleborough to Accrington - it might be this season I can tick off another from the list!
