    It might work out that Kompany gets a little rest and Stonesy gets a confidence boost at the same time. That would be perfect.

    Exactly what I'd come to say when I saw the title. It'll be Stones long term but if Kompany were to step down this season it might be a bit too much to give it Stones. Let him develop as a footballer first, leader later.
