Any reason why you believe Jesus lied ? The question is recursive and applies to other prophets too, but since we know the life of Jesus better hence specifically him.

His life, if he existed, and there's no actual proof, might well be one big fat lie to appease/ subjugate the masses.
Weird that the Romans documented everything in their life, everything, but nothing about the so called Son of God.
