Lost confidence, but clearly a quality footballer. He needs to play somewhere where the manager and fans have belief in him.
In the right set up he'd do well IMO. Scored some crackers for Swans about 3 years ago. Hopefully Everton will take Gylfi and Swans Wilfy.

I'm not. He's not had a good game in 2 and a half years!!

Agreed, but there was something there once. Who knows, he might regain some confidence and form in a new environment? Just thought someone would take a punt at £13m or whatever. Hopefully Swansea will be his destination, assuming they're flush with the Sigurdsson sale.

That loan at Stoke was a disaster.

It's similar to some of the loans our kids have had, where they are no worse than the other players in the team, but the manager decides to bench them because they are not 'his' players. If Bony had been fortunate enough to go to a team where the manager would give him time to settle in, we would probably have had no trouble shifting him now.

It looks like Hughes just signed him on a 'might as well have him, y never know' kind of deal rather than keenly wanting him.

Couldn't agree more. You have to feel sorry for the loanees as it's big shit to them, irrespective of whether they are early career or established. I'm sure we have acted with the best of intentions but there are learning points, nevertheless.

£13 million is an absolute bargain for somebody of Bony's quality, there's mediocre championship strikers going for more than that.

So bye, bye, Bony, Bony, goodbye
Bye, bye, Bony, don't make me cry (anymore)

Its a bargain if he regains his form, but he's been absolute shite for the best part of 2 seasons now and there's no promise he'll ever get back to where he was.

£13m would be a good deal for us, all things considered.
