Whenever I add tags to a video I can't seem to then search for the video via the tags. However, if I add a tag to a picture I can search for it using them.

I assume you can search through videos via added tags otherwise why would they let you add them, does anyone know of something I may be missing or have to do?

EDIT: It appears I can do it through the file explorer on my laptop but I can't search via tags on the files on my external hard drive? Even though they obviously open through file explorer.

Probably:
The search on Windows is crap, it makes the 'intelligent' choice of where it thinks you want to search and misses out many areas, or areas that it hasn't indexed.
Your removable disk might not be indexed - if I recall, you can right click the drive icon, properties, and select an 'index' option(s).
Alternatively install agent ransack, which is a full on search application.

Cheers, tried that agentransack, takes an absolute age to search tbf. Can't find any "index" options when I click on the properties of the hard drive.
