Working for yourself

I was clinical in deciding what business to go for,i looked at the top three growing markets in the UK,the top was coffee and despite hating the stuff i went for that,i had become one of the best sales execs at a big company so i had all that to draw from.I went down the franchise route and took over one from someone retiring so i had a few customers already to build on,i ended up with a decent business and employed 2 people part time, had to sell it on after my accident but glad i did it,it's pressure but one you are completely in control over, put in the work and it should be ok

She should perhaps consider enjoying a post-redundancy "holiday of a lifetime" to Columbia. Take out her cases stuffed with free cash and bring them back stuffed with crack. Once safely home she should set up a network of scratty oiks on BMXs and get a reputable security company to best represent her significant investment.

Then just go door-to-door drumming up sales.

It's a sure fire winner - and for that reason, I'm in. I'll take 50% of profits please (well laundered)

Has she no ideas of her own?

To succeed in business, it helps to have some sort of vision, ambition or driving force.

You portray her - probably unfairly - as a time-serving jobsworth without much oomph.

Prostitution seem the obvious answer

Just a quick one as I have my own niche in the torid world of self employment.
And this is a question to the menfolk on here.
If life worked the other way round and it was women were proper proper gagging for all the time would you consider prostitution ?
I have considered the pros and cons and would deffo not go down the sordid path of kerb crawling but would think long and hard about escort work.

I would only service rich birds and probably entertain the granny market as they have a larger disposable income revenue than most.
Yes I think I could be a gigalo to old ladies.

I would not want to be just ridden straight away but taken out for a pub lunch and a few scoops of nectar and Hobgoblin to warm me up.
Just diving right in would be too mechanical and far too antisceptic and it's importante to connect with the host fist to make them feel special.
There has to be etiquette and dinner time conversational chit chat to oil the works.
So could you perform just at the drop of a hat or would it just make you feel used ?

And what are the taxation implications and does it involve any cap gains...Worsley ?

Bit harsh. She only found out yesterday and it's not definite yet whether or not she'll get redundancy. Not really had time to come up with any solid ideas

See a financial advisor who can come up with the pros and cons .part time for an agency in similar to what she does now would be a stress free option depending how much redundancy buying a house /flat to rent out is a great way to get some money in and each year the property will rise in value
