Anyone on here from wythenshawe or know of the area?

Im doing the Manchester 100 mile bike ride tomorrow and it starts in wythenshawe park. Any idea where abouts in the park it would begin? and how big the park is?

I need to have a rough idea of where it is likely to start but I have heard the park is quite big so I will end up getting lost

Cheers

The park is sizeable to say the least , an' it looks from this as though the bike run starts an' finishes somewhere in the middle of it!

wythenshawe park is fairly big mate...big enough to have bowling greens & tennis courts, etc

i would say its around the size of platt fields park...best way to find it is come off the m56 for northenden then follow signs for wythenshawe and park is on your left

Cheers for the info.

Just found out that i need to go through the north entrance through the link posted by black mamba

I had a shotgun pulled out on me at a bus stop once in Wythenshawe. Always see a lot of flowers on lamposts there due to kids being killed/knocked down by cars and buses.

yeah, there's some proper scumbags around. I have quite a lot of family there, so I'm there a lot, but only during the day!

what did you say to the guy to make him pull out a gun at you?
