Personally I think he deserves it. He has been pretty close to being our most consistent midfield player for the last 3 months.

Keeping some experience is a good thing,whether he will accept less playing time and/or money i'm not so sure

Although he played in both Arsenal and United games there are signs he can't play too many intensive games together and it is down to whether he can accept a lesser role.

We can't move them all out though at once. We'd still be buying the new players that would take Toure's place in the first team but would then have players like Toure on the bench rather than Fernando. That way we'd hopefully have. a younger, more energetic first 11 but still have some quality on the bench that could change games and be very effective if used sparingly.

It's the likes of Fernando, Sagna, Clichy etc that need to be moved on while players such as Toure etc are the backups.

I have no idea how much he would be offered, not would I care as I wouldn't be paying his wages. I know that I'd prefer a bench where we could call on Toure than one with Fernando.
