Zinchenko Signed (official)

No risk signing. I want to see us making 2/3 of these a season. Pep will take a look pre season if he doesn't think he's ready we loan him out. If at the en of that loan he's ready we get a 1st team player for practically nothing, if he doesn't show signs of being upto the standard we require we sell him on for a profit. No lose situation.

3 at the back with wing backs would be very, very unlike Guardiola, it's something he's almost never used. And to think he'd start with that formation at a new club with a group of players unfamiliar with his coaching and tactics is a million to one shot.

How do you think we'd line up?

Very difficult to predict a line up but, perhaps wing backs is a tad over egged, certainly see our fullbacks having more prominent roles under Pep both out wide and the inside channels.

Formation wise 3-4-3 , again difficult but he certainly likes three at the back offensively and going 4 when attacked.

All opinions !

Ufa's GM thinks Zinchenko is good enough to go straight into City's first team.

It's a small club, he's the biggest talent they've ever had and he's going to a massive name in world football.

I expect he's just being nice about the kid not really passing critical judgement on his ability and our squad.

Where I am in Pep confidential, he has just discovered 21421, with his pivot dropping to make a 3 at the back, works with the full backs in midfield, which easily slips back into 433 when defending, so he certainly likes full backs that can become midfielders. But they are all variation on a theme that require adaptable intelligent players that can be moved about.

MUEN reporting he IS going out on loan, are they guessing or is it hope that people are thinking he is going to be part of first team plans ?

Presumably Guardiola will take a proper look at him over the next few weeks before any decision is made. If he's not up to the required standard yet then we'll send him out on loan to further his development.

The work permit thing. Marko Grujic has just gotten one for Liverpool. He's 20, and has less international caps at all levels than Zinchenko. He's Serbian who are 52nd in the world FIFA rankings. Ukraine are 19th. He'll get a work permit if we want him to stay with the first team next season or want him to stay in England.
