I don't think the OP has based his opinion on these training sessions and neither have i,if we want to move to the next level i personally don't think Kompany will be up to it

last time we got rid of players not "performing well" we ended up with Toure and Lescott now you guys want to get rid of them as well!

Kompany was our best CB last year and now you want to get rid, because he played with his heart (not with his brain) in midfield against Inter?

Why not support our players for once? just because we have money we cant just buy us out of problems and think it will be better! i dont want us to just ship out players because some fans dont think he is world class! if we start like this no one will want to play for us.

This witch hunt on our players need to stop! we should be happy those guys want to play for us!

Kompany and Lescott will be one of the best partnerships in the league this year, especially with the midfield hopefully protecting them a little bit more than in previous seasons. How anyone can critise Kompany is ridiculous after the last 2 years, he's a serious class act in everything he does whether it's in midfield or at centre half. In the heat and humidity of the US tour everyone will make mistakes or mis-judgements simply because they are being run ragged in training and then asked to play matches on top in awful football conditions.

judging by some of the comments, a few of the posters on here should stop sniffing glue and pay better attention when we play....Kompany is a great player ffs.

Im not sure where all this "Kompany was amazing last season" stuff came from, he only played for half the season and even then he wasn't great. He wouldnt get into any of the top 4 from last season.

With Yaya in the team theres no doubt Kolo will start.
Boateng will probably start aswell. I've seen people naming Boateng at RB... hes a CB who will play in RB if we need him to but its far from his best position.

There are some wankers on this forum, Kompany was amazing last season our only realible defender as Lescott was injured and well Toure is just shite. After one friendly people are already getting on his back. Its a joke.

ive never slagged off a city player, even if they were shit, but to come out with this against one of our better players is unbelievable.

kompany is for me our best defender, he was playing in midfield against inter, where for me i dont think he coped well, as i think his best postion is central defence.

i think he plays very well with de jong infront of him, as they have a great understanding of each other, and he feels more comfortable. thats just my opinion tho.
