This season, in that competition, yes it does. But "better" can mean lots of things. If they played each other 100 times then the "better" team would win more games.

It makes them the better team this season in a league format, yes.

The team that wins the Premiership in any given year is the best team.
And if this happens to be manure,then yes,they are the better team.
Despite our grassy knoll conspiracy theorists,you don't fluke the Premiership.

Not necessarily as a better team would be judged against all other teams they face too.

The key word in your question is "TEAM".

We probably have better players overall, they have a better team, team work ethic and team spirit.

I think this is one of those fallacies we have hung on to for too long. We simply do not have better players. Our best players may be better than theirs (don't even necessarily agree with that) but they have better players overall.

They have had the most injuries this season, and we have had the least, yet they seat 5 points above us. Clearly, they have the better players and the deeper squad. After our 1st 12 or 13, the drop off is incredible.

Wouldn't count in Madrid winning it they've some real tough fixtures coming up and have to play Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Barca are the overall better team, Mourinho and Real just don't know how to beat them. Hence they resort to bully boy tactics, and it still isn't enough.
