Having watched the goal over 100 times, one thing I have noticed is Kompany's major part in the build up.

He makes a late dash in to the box and the defender follows him before being on the backfoot to try and tackle Aguero before he scores.

Played Vinny :)

Would also like to point out De Jong's calmness for both goals. The first one as he holds the ball before passing which leads to a corner. And for the winner he carries the ball 30 yards or so before passing FORWARD to Aguero. He aint all sideways and backward!

Previous City teams would have launched the ball into the box with only seconds remaining when at 2-2.

I'm liking Mancini's philosophy - if you're gonna fail, do it playing the right way. Thankfully, the right way eventually paid dividends.

I actually heard a few shouts of 'just get it in the box' on a few occasions. Thank fuck they didn't!!!!!

I think I even shouted just get it in the box to Nige before he passed it to Aguero.

Someone mentioned this in one of the earlier threads. Basically saying that Kompany actually took the defender away, who then made the last ditch dive at Aguero.

The poster above is right about us not just lumping the ball in the area. Watching it over again, it's amazing how composed some of the players are. Even De Jong giving the ball to Aguero in the build up to the goal. The easy ball was out wide (to Nige's right), but he waited for Aguero to find a bit of space and fed him.

Noticed that as soon as I watched the highlights of the game after getting home!

Fair to say if Kompany hadn't have made that run its possible we wouldn't be champions!

Mario's pass was brilliant back to Aguero it was right in his stride.
Not many strikers in the world that could do what Aguero done, 94th minute possibly the last chance in the game to win the title, For him to be so cool and skip by his man and beat Kenny at his near post was magic! That's why he's one of the best strikers in world football.
