Back at the end of the 70's/beginning of 80's they used - on Final Score on Grandstand - to have reports from the top games after the scores - relayed by talking heads from the different regions. There was a guy who often did City's report - he looked just like Mr Potato Head : middle-aged, bald, thick moustache, thick-frame glasses and a very distinctive voice. I can't quite say why it was distinctive.. but it was! He was always doing the reports for North West teams. Anyone able to give me his name?

Oldham report, he did City v Oldham and when Graham sharp scored
he said and Sharp scores for Oldham the bastard
He wasnt on air but was feeding back to the studio so got bollocked

ha ha - the guy looked like a cross between sindstadt and arthur lowe - I think his glasses were tinted as well ..
