Did my eyes deceive me or did Mario run off the field right after the final whistle and push someone out of the way? They broke away rather quickly for a commercial after the final whistle........

Italy looked tired tonite , and were always second best , but i still think that Balotelli was argueably their most prominent player throughout the game .... not much came off for him , and at times Spain had three players shackling him , but he worked hard , and he'll have better days , that's for sure !

He had a much better tournament that i thought he'd have , and he can hold his head up .....
it's no mean feat to finsh runners-up to a side like Spain!

If the Italian press takes him to task over this he should quit international football and Mancini and Prandelli should back him to the hilt.

I was watching ESPN3 and we didn't get the immediate commercial break and he actually ran over to his family. The guy he moved out of his way probably thought Mario was leaving for the locker room.

After the semi, he ran over to his Mum, but his Father wasn't at that game. He had dedicated the Final to his father, who was coming to see him play for the first time at the Euros and so went over to him. It was missed by the TV.

Anyway, it was clear that it bothered him, he was professional and worked his arse off all game, but it wasn't to be. Prandelli explained how hurt he was and that this will be a learning experience for him. He is 22 and he turned out to be the revelation of one of the top teams in Europe in HIS FIRST MAJOR TOURNAMENT!

Well done, Mario! You will be welcomed back to Manchester with open arms. But first, take a break and relax a bit.....YOU DESERVE IT!
