After the semi, he ran over to his Mum, but his Father wasn't at that game. He had dedicated the Final to his father, who was coming to see him play for the first time at the Euros and so went over to him. It was missed by the TV.
Anyway, it was clear that it bothered him, he was professional and worked his arse off all game, but it wasn't to be. Prandelli explained how hurt he was and that this will be a learning experience for him. He is 22 and he turned out to be the revelation of one of the top teams in Europe in HIS FIRST MAJOR TOURNAMENT!

OK thats great then!! All I saw was him running off the field and he kind of pushed a guy out of the way. My initial thought was he was doing a runner into the locker room. So he was only running to his family.......
