Had a look on that internet thing and it says Brian (Pop) Robson plying his trade at the Boelyn ground was top scorer in the year of my birth.

Yeah I know it's the correct answer but to say he was the First Division top goal scorer in 1972/73 is incorrect?

He was the top goal scorer in what me (and many others) still regard as the old second division or Championship as it is now. Hence the confusion as some of us are still old skool ;)
