I used to defend Umbro a lot and to be fair they have produced some great ones and some no so great but the fact of the matter is that some Joe on the internet can produce some great photoshops of kits that would be bestsellers amongst us blues (see the Black/Gold third photoshop most recently) and they aren't fashion designers.

Whoever produces our kits has to step it up and produce quality pieces the majority of us will be pleased with!

Nike appeals more to the global market and thats the long and short of it

I admit that it's probably a bit "League Two", but some teams sometimes have a few kits for the fans to vote on be the new kit.

Also, to the poster mentioning about the cheap badges, actually in the past, with Nike kits, the players kits have had very cheap transfer badges on and the replicas have been embroidered. This is to avoid "Nipple rub" by the badges and given that each shirt has a lifespan of one game, it's all they need. For a replica worn lots then you need a harder wearing badge.

It might be the case, however, that now, in these days of cutting expenditure, they will all be cheap transfers, like those awful Reebok ones a few years ago.

Look at the new United kit. If we EVER had anything like that, I'd be fucking mortified. The last few years kits have been fantastic, the worst we ever had IMO was Reebok. Utter shite, with the sponser and the badges peeling of after a few washes. I've still got all my umbro kits, and they've faired much better than the Reebok/ Le coq shit we've had of late.

Horrible kit or not, Manure have chosen that kit to wear for the new season! They've got weird taste by selecting a 'tea towel' fabric and the design style to match and approved for Nike to make. Now like or hate, the kit was Manure of choice. Not Nike.

It's not for Nike to decide any City's kit....Hell do you think Nike just goona made up few kits of some sort, and stick it over at Chapman's office!!? Yo here's the new kit City!!
