It might be an over-hyped friendly, but it's still something that we could potentially 'win' and have a bit of a celebration afterwards.

Nothing could possibly take the shine off what happened on 13th May 2012, but some of the post match entertainment almost came close.

I will be absolutely OUTRAGED if I hear 'Agadoo' played again.

I don't care if we sing it to the Yaya tune, 'Delilah' is a STOKE CITY song. In my opinion, we might as well have played 'You'll never walk alone'. Plenty of supporters have made up songs to the 'Blue Moon' tune over the years, but as far as I'm aware no club has played 'Blue Moon' as a celebratory song.

Don't play, 'One Step Beyond' again. We're playing Chelsea and it's their song. Not ours. Yeah they celebrated with that song back in December, but so what? We gave it them back once and that's ENOUGH. If they played 'Wonderwall' or something if they were to win, we'd think they were dickheads.

We're Manchester's team. A City which is idolised and envied because of the amount of music we have produced over the years. Even looking at this years rock festivals still see our towns best dominating, even by bands that haven't released anything decent for 20 years.

CITY; DO THE RIGHT THING.

Would City really have any say on what goes over the PA at Villa Park?

They will probably give a list of songs to the PA people. I know from someone who works for City that they decided it in the days build up. And it was down to him that we played Sweet fucking Caroline. (I hope you're reading this!)

I would imagine they won't play anything and people will just make their way out, relatively happy if we have won and not too fussed if we haven't.

It is indeed a glorified friendly but it's still silverware for the showcase and tbh I was bummed when we lost last years.

It does have some meaning - not much, very slightly above insignificant - but you earn playing in that game by winning previous competition. Hope we win but I think we will struggle since Nasri, Lescott, Milner, Silva, Mario, Barry, Clichy have yet to play a minute of pre-season yet.

What happened to the "boys in blue" tune? I've not heard it played at full time for awhile now!

Good to see The Blue Alliance standing alongside Kill The Cheese, however at KTC our demands are simpler and more draconian. In recognition of the fact that football is becoming a middle class game, one piece of music will be tolerated after a game. One only, and it must be apt.

Of course we don't want Agadoo or One Step Beyond or any other stupid novelty tune. But also, we don't want fucking James or Inspiral Carpets. It's a football match. If people want music go to a gig or a club. Hearing a pop song booming over a tinny PA does not increase anyone's happiness levels.

Let the crowd do their own thing spontaniously. That is all. Leave the Cheese to the Rugby League.

17 thousand posts on an Internet forum and your trying to push out what's cool????

Think One Step Beyond was played for the twatish way the Chelsea lot behaved after the final whistle down there, was like they'd won the World Cup.

Yea a lot of the final day of the season songs were shite but they had to get a lot of filler.

For what it's worth Hey Jude should really be the only thing played after final whistles on Big Games, as it's the only song we have where the crowd and tannoy go together.
