Well just to dig this one up again. What did you think of him today? If Lescott doesn't happen?

He's a monster.

(Do I get extra credit for digging up the original topic rather than starting a new one?)

He's solid and gave Richards lots of problems in the air, which isn't that easy to do.

Is he good enough with his feet? I'll be honest, I didn't pay much attention to his play. I know he's played up front though, so he can't be that bad on the ground.

No! Because he lacks pace and would be exposed. Players like him and Hangeland are good when in a team that has to defend deep and can use their height to good effect.

Toure was immense yesterday and the way he read the game and brought the ball out of defence showed why he is a great signing. These are the type of players we need.

Bump...

Manchester City, like Samba for the defense

Given the difficulties encountered in trying to get to Daniel Agger, Liverpool asks for which more than 20 million, not counting the heavy competition from Barcelona, Manchester City could turn to other targets, possibly to less high-sounding solutions. A hot name in this way could be to Christopher Samba (28), who moved last year all'Anzhi but perhaps even eager to get back in the Premier League: Congolese defender like Roberto Mancini and cost prohibitive or otherwise not less that Agger could cause him to climb a few positions in the hit-parade of the objectives of the Citizens.

Wow a surprise out of left field!
He was a beast for Blackburn, Wenger was after him (impressed by his ball skills apparently!).
Anyone know how he did in Anzhi?
