It seems that Mancini is blaming the club for not moving quickly for Martinez !
I do not think it is a money problem apart from the transfer sum. Martinez wanted to go to Barca or Bayern. Whereas Barca would not offer him a starting place - at Bayern he will have it as he is the type of player Bayern needed as last year showed.
He is in contact to the Bayern coach for awhile, speaks a little German - his girlfriend, too - and has relatives in Germany.
The question was only the transfer sum as 40 millions are no reasonable price for him - but it is his buyout clause if the club does not want to sell at all. Without that buyout clause there would not have been a chance to get him at all. And Bayern would not pay it if he would not be the ideal puzzle part for the team.
Bayern has decided to pay the sum no matter what - Martinez cuts back on his demands.
Yesterday his brother and manager were in Munich to talk about the last formalities.

He is 23 - one year before his contract ends he is 27. If he fulfils half that what he promises he can be sold without problems for about 40 millions or even more then. Or he stays. And he is no top earner because of his age.
It is another thing to pay big sums for 29-year-old strikers that earn shitloads of money...
