i'm not over the moon for RVP, but some people are going a little overboard on the other end. on a team where he is the only serious goal threat, he has absolutely dominated this year. every defence focuses on him, yet he's still bagging almost a goal per game. he would be a huge upgrade over dzeko. yeah, he's getting up there in age, but he still has a contract's-worth of years left in him. i don't know if he'd be my first choice for a new striker, but he definitely wouldn't be a bad choice. the guy is clinical in front of goal, something we could use.

I'm thinking planning for a serious go at the CL is well-advanced.
