Eljero Elia leaving Juventus. A good winger who like Krasic has suffered from Conte using his full-backs for width. Could see Elia coming to England or returning to the Bundesliga.

2 years ago I would have absolutely loved Elia coming to City because he was so raw at Twente and even his first year at Hamburg, however he really has stalled ever since due to some bad career moves. I would still like him to come to City because his pace and the way he opens up the play could help, but yeah that's a biased wish.

Robert Lewandowski: Borussia Dortmund say striker is going nowhere
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Borussia Dortmund have denied reports that Robert Lewandowski is set to leave the Bundesliga champions for Manchester United.

Speculation over the Poland striker's future grew last week, after his international manager Franciszek Smuda claimed the scorer of the opening goal of Euro 2012 was on his way to Old Trafford.

But the chief executive of the German side, Hans-Joachim Watzke, claims the stories in the media are wide of the mark.

He told Sportinformationsdienst: "It does not matter if we are to receive bids.

"I have said for weeks that Robert will be back in training with our club after the Euro 2012 and his holiday leave. And this is what will happen."

"I am sick of these speculations. I really don't care what the rumours are in the media of Poland.

"I have a detailed knowledge of media in Poland and therefore I know how I have to classify those reports".

Smuda's comments last week also called into question the futures of another two Dortmund players.

"Lewy is going to Manchester United, Kuba (Jakub Blaszczykowski ) also somewhere in England, and Piszczek to Real," the Poland boss told the media before Friday's opening game.

But Watzke has refused to believe that.

He continued: "I am going way back with Smuda for years. We have a good relationship. I do not think he has said things like that."

These are rumors obviously and I guess rumors to increase the value of Modric. However apparently, PSG are willing to offer 37m for Modric. French papers.

I'm hearing Di Matteo is going to be taken on at Chelsea with Guardiola unattainable at present, the contract could well be a year on year rolling contract.

You could say that Abramovich is being cautious after all the payouts he's been hit with on the recent managerial changes, or if your cynical and going with the good money, he's waiting for the nod from Pep.

Di Maria finally signed a new contract with Real Madrid, until 2018. :(

:( because I was hoping we might take advantage of the contract stalemate but going nowhere now.

I think your last sentence is probably closer to the reality.
