Perhaps a bit Naiive, but what about Karim Rekik for CB cover?

I read he's only 17 (amazing), but one of Micah's best ever games was against Utd. at CB when he was still 19 or 20 (I think). Sometimes a player just needs the chance to show what he can do on the big occasion.

Certainly a very very promising player but could he do a job v Stoke or Everton away for example ?

Hell of a risk to rely on him at this stage imo.

Agger and skrtel are both class and were responsible for liverpools decent defence last season , agger>skrtel=lescott

Skrtel may look ugly but that is not how you rate a player , has a good disciplinary record (only one red last year ) , premier league proven , £10m cheaper than agger.

Richards, Savic, Kolo Toure, Yaya Toure, Rekik....... how much "cover" does one need?

The ONLY reason it has bee an issue is because the partnership has been mammoth for the past two seasons and no-one has really got a look in. We need to change that when possible, especially with the specialist CBs (Savic & Rekik...and Kolo if he does not leave).

The other thing is it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get an international CB to come here to be on the bench, as CBs are not like midfielders and forwards.....they do not get subbed out and rested much, as they do not expend near the energy and effort as them.

I have said it numerous times on here, Martinez would be PERFECT for City!

Savic is not good enough neither is Kolo simple as that. Yaya is not a CB and Rekik haven´t played a minute in the PL. Richards can play CB but he´s a bit injury prone and Zabba can´t play every game at RB. It´s fair to say that we need cover for for Lescott & Vinnie. Kolo is not good enough to be 3 CB he proved it last season..

Savic is not cover, when does Richards play cb, we have no cover for yaya in cm so we cant play him there, Rekik is to young and Kolo is probably off. We have to sign a CB we were very lucky with injuries last season and if either Lescott or Kompany got injured for a long period of time we would be fucked. I don't want us to sign a superstar but someone liker Skirtl would be perfect. Its not like we have no money is it.
