You can only choose a player from the squad list on our site.

For me it's a straight fight between RSC who, it could be argued, is the worst signing by any team of all-time but came during a time when we were very naive.

Or Savic who was bought during the Mancini era and can't play football very well.

Footnote: as of now has anyone noticed our squad list has vanished from OS and been replaced by an old page? Getting ready for an update? ;-)

RSC. It's a signing that had it been done under any other organsiation would have resulted in a criminal investigation!

Had been out three months with an injury when he signed for us, wasn't fit for another three months! And we paid circa £17m for that.

The fact that it was for the manager's former player at his previous club has more alarm bells ringing than seeing Harry Redknapp in a motorway services cafe holding a brown paper bag...

One day the full story of RSC's signing will come out...

I'd love to know if there was any truth to that rumour about clueless having a deal to receive a %age of fee when Crocky was sold to us.

Dear OP

You have 3 started 3 threads which are near the top of the Transfer Forum. In my opinion, and I stress 'my opinion', these are just clogging up this forum whilst not really falling under the subject of "transfer rumours, gossip, and speculation".

It's hard enough keeping up with the genuine rumours and gossip without clogging it up with opinions on existing players. Again, in my opinion.

Dear sheriff ....it's a quiet day. I've started two as the RSC has been on a while. If you can think of something to chat about feel free to start one yourself...

I don't have a problem with any of your threads. I just think that perhaps they should be in either the bluemoon forum or the general football forum. I usually only get a few moments to catch up with the 'transfer' gossip and it's hard sometimes to sort the wheat from the chaff. I don't think that anyone's opinion that player 'X' would be a good signing really counts as transfer gossip.

Hmmmm there wouldn't be many threads on here if you kept the criteria that narrow. It's not difficult though as all you need to do is go to the "it's quiet thread" which is always near the top though even that might not be the answer at the moment as its straying...as is this thread now.

As I say there's not much "real news" about right now particularly with mr Hairdoo on his hols

If a thread is in the wrong forum a mod will move it so don't worry.

With hindsight RSC.

At the time I would say, for me, Lescott.

It seemed bewildering that we were pursuing someone who I considered to be limited technically and not especially mobile to the extent we did. I thought it was a lot of money and a lot of hassle for a half decent centre half who scored a few goals. I felt he had the makings of a 21st Century Steve Daley.

Glad to say I was spectacularly wrong about that.
