I hope we insist on sell on clauses on all these 'give aways'.

Oh well. At least it's not another loan.

I read that we were after a highly rated young keeper from Pescara as part of the deal i presume we didn't get him?.

Does anyone actually watch him play? He runs down blind alleys. He's poor. I'm sick of the carping on these boards.

If everyone is criticising City for not selling him for more then ask the question why was there not a queue of clubs banging on the door not to sign the lad? he's gone to the Italian equivalent of Southampton.

Looked like he could be good but never really delivered for us, Rangers or Espanol (why were they not offering him a contract?)

Looked good, never progressed - could be partly due to the poor coaching recently from the academy and reserves but this is being addressed.

As it is he was not in RMs plans so has been allowed to go somewhere where he can start again and see if he can meet some of his potential (which is all it is currently he has not yet shown it). If he progresses then hopefully we have a sell on clause.

Loan would have made no sense as 12 months on his contract.

Totally agree, it's another off the wage bill, as Tesco say every little helps.

From the OS,

http://mcfc.com/News/Team-news/2012/Aug ... imir-Weiss

City winger Vladimir Weiss has completed a transfer to Italian outfit Pescara.

The 22-year-old has joined the newly promoted Siere A side for an undisclosed fee.

The Slovakian international joined the Blues in 2008 and made his first team debut against Bolton Wonderers in the last game of the 2008-9 season.

In January 2010 Weiss joined Bolton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season, although most of his time there was spent on the bench.

Next up for the winger was a move to Scotland where he joined Rangers on loan for the 2010-11 season and in doing so claimed an SPL winners medal.

The Slovak had a successful season at Spanish side Espanyol last year and will most likely be remembered for scoring a spectacular goal from outside the penalty area during a 3-3 draw away at Athletic Bilbao.

The club wishes Vladimir every success at his new club and in his future career.

Sorry mods if it should be in the transfer forum.
