yesterday i took the mrs to her first away game and the day was fantactic, the match was good, the banter between both sets of fans was good, and the best bit was when our fans repeated the Poznan which was really funny!!

thought my mrs was going to get use to the idea of going to more away games UNTIL as we were all leaving our seats some stupid idiot through a firecracker or some sort of firework down towards where we were, ok the seats were empty where it went of but it startled about 20 of us waiting to walk up the stairs and supprisingly the closest person to where the bang went of was a yound lad who may have been about 8 at the most!

Well thanks to which idiot it was because you have blown any chance of her letting me take our son to any away games when he is a little bit older!

sorry just seen there is another thread on this!

No pun intended...

no pun was intended i didnt even click that i used that paticular word... can believe people are missing my point because far greater things have happened in the past.... for a city fan to throw any sort of Missile at another city fan its fucking rediculous and there is no excuses

When I was 7, maybe 8 I did get startled. It changed my life forever. I'm 63 now and I've not been outside of my house since that day I was startled.

People are laughing at this event but startling changes lifes.

Love not startle

Have you tried contacting Startlers Anonymous?

They meet once a month and everyone affected sits in a circle with a shocked look on their faces... no one speaks, it's just too traumatic to even talk about it.

They reckon after seven or eight visits you are capable of being in the same room as someone who coughs unexpectedly. After twenty visits you could even put up with someone striking a match.

It's a long process, but with support we can get there in the end...

You're right.

But "letting the club down"... You can't be serious.

That's like me being hit by a firework and claming Standard Fireworks are to blame and asking that they pay me compensation.

Idiots are idiots, but how are they "letting the club down"?

Seriously, but my views on Manchester City are not determined by some nob-head chucking fioreworks.

It was quite a day for those sensitive to startling.

Who heard the PA system bang out an almighty schreech of feedback early in the first half?

That was pretty startling too.

fine i give up and my opinion on something like this will not be typed onto here in future, the idea of saying the idiot let the club down is the same as those teachers saying to pupils before a school trip "be on your best behaviour because you are representing the club"

obviously i am just going ott because someone only threw a firework towards his own fans so what it the problem, but if that was to hit your child in the face would you have the same attitude towards a fellow blue "only throwing a firework, its no biggie"
