Just to start off with I'm a United fan.

As the youth cup final was on the same day as city's parade I managed to see what Manchester was like for that. It was absolutely jam packed, I could barely walk, the trams were full, the tram stations were full.

I did go to our "parade" which was an embarrasment, I could barely believe it when the news said there was 100,000+ fans or whatever. That was obviously was a lot of bollocks.

Well said. For City's parade it was heaving. I was quite shocked at the turnout for Uniteds if im honest. The official figures were released some months ago, citys was over 165k, Uniteds, 35k. Its not the end of the world but we just like to get the facts out there, becasue the press certainly wont do!!!

i don`t believe you,the MuEN said there was 250,000 and that paper is the gospel, also talkshite said there was OVER 250,000 at your parade and again they are always first for exclusives(mancini being sacked, sneijder nailed on for the rags, the loch ness monster spotted in alan brazils pond..)..and to cap it off sky sports said there was more at utds than citys parade and that we all know they`re up taggarts sweaty arse so game over really......

So was I, I would've expected our fans to show some greater appreciation but as you do say we have a lot of glory hunters ( I am a season ticket holder and live in Greater Manchester). Yours was a great parade and were well deserved off the FA Cup.

Fair play to you mate.

I honestly don't think there would have been quite so much interest from City fans if some reds hadn't firstly taken the mick out of our parade on various sites - there was a proper hatchet job done by someone on YouTube, and there was a thread on Red Cafe about it. No doubt Red Issue would've had plenty to say about it too lol. As such, many City eyes were on the United parade on that Bank Holiday Monday morning when most wouldn't normally have been too bothered what the turnout was.

I always thought it was best for any reds to lay off until you'd had your parade. In many ways the timing wasn't the best - while the bad weather was a poor excuse (rain in Manchester isn't unusual), to be fair it came over 2 weeks after you'd won the league (a high that many would've come down from) and 2 days after losing the CL Final. I think most had switched off for the summer to be honest.

Needed cheering up so just read all this again.

Some of the posts are brilliant, and the photos/screen shots tell the story.

Any of you lot going to Trafford next week gonna print a few off for Blues to hold up at the game?
