Dear Mr Fayed,

Sometimes you do or say things in the heat of the moment, you don't mean it really, it should be forgotten the very next day you know what I mean, like when I said Fulham were not good enough, that they had no ambition, that they were not a big enough team for me, that I wanted a Chairman that would respect me and give me loads of money. I didn't mean any of that, I'm sure you know that...... deep down, so..... can I have my job back ? please, pretty please.

Yours,

Mark Hughes

QPR manager Mark Hughes after his team's 5-0 home defeat to Swansea: "It's unacceptable. You can make all the excuses you want but it doesn't wash with me. We chased the game when we didn't have to. We became ragged and made bad decisions. In the end we didn't deserve anything from the game so we have to improve remarkably."

You'd think he had no responsibility for the performance and result!

The man is a pathological liar. He would say that the sky is red if he thought a few people might believe him and absolve him from some sort of responsibility for his own failures.

He cannot, just cannot, ever accept responsibility for poor performance - of which he is often responsible for many. I suspect that this is due to having spent most of his life with everyone blowing smoke up his arse, telling him he is brilliant at everything, leading to an inability to accept responsibility for anything that isn't praiseworthy.

Then again, you could throw that theory at most footballers. Yet I have never come across another manager who has lies trip off his tongue with such ease, is so quick to point the finger at others and who refuses to ever take responsibility. Even when he is talking about an unrelated, indirect subject, if you listen to him in the context of "is he saying this in order to get himself some sort of credit", you can spot some sort of self agrandising/ 'it's not my fault/'aren't I great' context in virtually every comment he makes.

The doctor of spin also added "it could be the making of us to be honest"

LOL. Don't know what QPR fans think about that hopefully he's getting a ton of abuse from them tonight.

Really good chance to stick the knife in further in a couple of weeks now.

Rumour on twitter about Hughes resigning as well. Too ridiculous to believe even by his standards but some people fell for it.

As a football manager, Mark Hughes has a unique and pathological inability to comprehend or in any way inculcate even the most basic defensive systems in his teams. Looking back, I am still staggered at how, even with a fair amount of cash, he was able to make more than capable and well experienced defenders look like they had never played in a defensive system in their lives.

QPR will win a few games 4-nil and 5-nil this season, too. But for the reasons mentioned above, they will inevitably ship in quantity as well.

Thankfully, and thanks to this clown, I can watch the Premier league goal tally rocket from a distance – safe in the satisfaction that he is now nowhere near my club.

It's too early to panic. Hughes' teams always come good in the second half of the season.

...and spin doctoring. Maybe he should look at entering politics when he resigns or gets fired again.

how does Clint Hill justify a place in apremier League side? Hughes should have packed him off (to Leeds probably) in the summer instead of giving him a new contract.

Blessing in disguise it was apparently. I bet their supporters went home thinking how good it was that they got beat 0-5.

I watched the first half and it was all one way traffic. It was a minor miracle that QPR wasn't winning. To be fair though it was Hughes who signed a clown in goal Rob Green. What a fraud he is. Unbelievable that he is still a number 1 keeper let alone for a premiership side.

Speaking of which, why does Rob Green always look stoned?
