QPR manager Mark Hughes after his team's 5-0 home defeat to Swansea: "It's unacceptable. You can make all the excuses you want but it doesn't wash with me. We chased the game when we didn't have to. We became ragged and made bad decisions. In the end we didn't deserve anything from the game so we have to improve remarkably."
You'd think he had no responsibility for the performance and result!
The man is a pathological liar. He would say that the sky is red if he thought a few people might believe him and absolve him from some sort of responsibility for his own failures.
He cannot, just cannot, ever accept responsibility for poor performance - of which he is often responsible for many. I suspect that this is due to having spent most of his life with everyone blowing smoke up his arse, telling him he is brilliant at everything, leading to an inability to accept responsibility for anything that isn't praiseworthy.
Then again, you could throw that theory at most footballers. Yet I have never come across another manager who has lies trip off his tongue with such ease, is so quick to point the finger at others and who refuses to ever take responsibility. Even when he is talking about an unrelated, indirect subject, if you listen to him in the context of "is he saying this in order to get himself some sort of credit", you can spot some sort of self agrandising/ 'it's not my fault/'aren't I great' context in virtually every comment he makes.
LOL. Don't know what QPR fans think about that hopefully he's getting a ton of abuse from them tonight.
Really good chance to stick the knife in further in a couple of weeks now.
Rumour on twitter about Hughes resigning as well. Too ridiculous to believe even by his standards but some people fell for it.
