I cannot see him playing in an official capacity if he is taking steroids, as they are banned by FIFA. And people with crohns have to take a plethora of drugs (including steroids) to keep it at bay. There is no other cure, other than removing part of the bowel or most of it and having a colostomy bag fitted. Both senarios are career ending. From viewing the images of Fletcher from last night he looks incredibly thin, which would indicate that he is still suffering the effects of the disease.

I would be very surprised if he played in their first team this season or again. Unless they gave him a dispensation for taking steroids?

Won't be the same player ever again; don't wish ill on him as he seems alright. Cheers for your contribution to the 6-1.

Shit, I take steroids to keep my metabolic arthritis under control. Ulcerative colitis, is a truly debilitating condition, I can't see him being what he was and I sincerely hope he isn't being pushed back into to action.

Not quite true there is a possibility of using a parasite to cure crohns. Still experimental but it's getting good reviews.

Would all be good if he actually had crohns

OK lets call it an inflammatory bowel disease, the use of parasites still stands as a possible cure.

Was always an ugly fuck but the illness has made it worse. Joking aside, there's another pic of him looking like a stick, not pleasant tbh.

He looked really poorly. Very thin and yellow. I with him all the best and hopefully a full recovery.
