But I would say Rooney.

He is effectively good in all aspects of his game, do a bit of everything.

The contradiction from me is that I don't consider him world class, if that somehow makes any sense whatsoever!

Honestly think Ronaldo (greasy one) would do quite a good job at CB if he had to. Quick, good in the air, 6"2 (same height as me, it's a good height) and sure he could probably tackle if needed.

So I'd say him.

Totally agree with the OP. Yet to see such a versatile player.

And do you think it's a bit of a family thing? Because it's well documented that Kolo Toure was a striker before converting to a defender.
