on I phone so can't post links flicking through last night, and the dippers genuinely believe that gerrard is better than silva, one even went as far as saying iniesta and xavi but as he doesn't play for barca so doesn't get the recognition, some real corkers on that 'Manchester City' thread

Gerrard is one of the best players to come from his generation. Sadly for the racist loving bastards his time has passed and he is a shadow of the player that could single handedly pull Liverpool through games

Not as daft as it sounds imo. Gerrard is an exceptional player and has done it for them season after season and if people who never saw Colin Bell ask me what he was like I always say "Gerrard is the closest modern equivalent." DS is a different player to some degree as his game is more about clever play and creating opportunities with a short game.

SG can drag that team up to a new level on his own when he's on song plus he's a devastating set-piece taker. When Silva's been winning games on his own for us for 5 or 6 seasons then he could be entitled to consider himself as good.

Very true and no worse than Red Cafe either

However! They are the most delusional set of supporters in the game, they even beat the Geordies when they went through their delusional phase, thankfully they are over it now the relegation got them over it, I suspect it's going to take a relegation for them to get over it, or a couple of mid table finishes.

Want to see what I mean? Just visit RAWK, they claim that in almost every game this season they have been the better team? Even when they lose? There is seeing things through he prism of your own bias but even City fans (and others) can see that results don't really lie

Loyalty be damned, Gerrard should have joined Chelsea when he nearly did in 2005. He'd have won the trophies he deserves. He has been an amazing player, far superior to most English players in the last decade. He still looks good when fully fit, look at the difference he made for them against Newcastle and I believe he scored against the rags earlier in the season having barely returned from injury.

He`s their talisman and has been for years. So why shouldn`t they rate him higher than David?
They also rate Silva very highly.
On t he pre match thread where Ric put a number of questions on City to them.about 9 out of 10 said Silva was the player they would take from us.
