The station is the largest brick structure in Europe.[5] The building's gross dimensions measure 160 metres (520 ft) by 170 metres (560 ft), with the roof of the boiler house standing at over 50 metres (160 ft). Each of the four chimneys is made from concrete and stands 103 metres (338 ft) tall.

I think that's just a redevelopment plan for the power station before this. They're meant to be turning the power station into a 15000 seat south stand

Thats... a pretty good point actually, you should probably tell the BBC that haha

Never happen. It would be far too expensive a project for any team in the world to afford.

Not if you can offset the development costs with the sale of some prime real estate (current stadium) and the other development of the site. I think it's a great way to keep an iconic landmark and bring the land into use again.

Indeed, but would the Bridge go for? Maybe £200 million. Battersea power plant alone would probably cost about £500 million, and that's without even building a stadium there. I don't think there is anyway of doing it for less than £650 million.

Surely the South stand is the one furthest south and so would be the furthest stand from the river?

he's clearly wrong, but football in Germany is a lot cheaper than in England, much to their credit
