Death match: Manchester United fan collapses and dies moments after City score derby match winner

United fan had been taunted by rival City supporters throughout game

A Manchester United fan collapsed and died moments after Manchester City scored their derby match winner.

Loyal United fan Pa Abu Bakarr Sesay, who has supported the Red Devils since a teenager, was watching the match on TV with his son and rival Manchester City fans when tragedy struck.

According to Sierra Leone's Exclusive newspaper, Sesay had been taunted by City fans throughout the match and after Vincent Kompany scored in the first half, it all became too much for the pensioner.

His son, Abu, said: “Just after the goal was scored, my father left the cinema in Freetown unceremoniously without saying a word.

"He was taunted by Manchester City supporters and anti-Manchester United fans. They made life uncomfortable for him."

Half way through the second match Abu was told that his father had died.

Yesterday it was revealed that a Chelsea fan was stabbed to death after reportedly taunting a Manchester United fan over their 1-0 defeat to City.

Stephen Oluoch was knifed in the back of the head moments before the final whistle after an argument with the fan during Monday night's Manchester derby.

The 24-year-old had been watching the top-of-the-table clash on TV in a shopping centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

He was with his cousin and a group of about 20 other fans who had met up to watch the match.

According to AllAfrica Mr Oluoch was attacked just metres from his home in Nairobi’s Mbotela estate.

His cousin Vitalis Ochieng told Kenya's Daily Nation: “He had followed Manchester United matches on TV. It was towards the end of the second half when Steve walked out and a few minutes later, I received a call from a neighbour. He asked me to rush home. Steve had been stabbed.

“I abandoned the match and rushed home. I found him lying on the ground. He had lost a lot of blood and was motionless. We sent someone to call the police."

Kenya Police confirmed they are still hunting the alleged attacker.

English football teams have a fanatical following in Kenya with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal being the most supported teams in the country.

Locals in Nairobi regularly meet in makeshift cubicles - made out of rusty iron sheets - to watch Premier League matches on TV.

Fans have christened them Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and The Emirates.

Last year, a young girl committed suicide in Rongai after Manchester United lost a champions league match and in the same year an Arsenal fan committed suicide in Nairobi's Pipeline estate after the team lost a premier league match

Hmm... So a guy watching tv dies after having an heart attack... it's all because Vinny scored a goal...

Let's forget about his high cholesterol diet, his age, the fact he might of smoked/drink excessively and so on... blame it all on Vincent's Goal..

This will teach you to score a goal for your team Vincent, you naughty boy.

I have written to City and asked that we have a minutes silence in honour of the guy who died. seeing as it was down to him that the man died, Vincent should blow the whistles to mark the start and end of the minute.

I think it would be a nice gesture especially as the united fans held a 45 minute silence at the Etihad when they heard about it at half time.

Jeeze, some people need to grow up.
Would be a great motivational team talk for Wenger/Slur though.
