I called woy a clown the day he was appointed and got shouted down on here but it really wouldn't surprise me if we're on the first plane back without a single win. The guy is an absolute effing tool.

The thing is though, Micah would be in the squad now if he didn't get all Billy-big-bollocks over being back-up for the friendly. I lost a lot of sympathy for Micah because of that.
correct.

Roy diden´t have the decency to call the lad and tell me that he dident´t make the squad, is that to much to ask for? Roy can fuck of imo. Micah has been treated bad by Capello and now Roy, you can understand him for not wanting being a backup for a useless friendly, when your coach dosen´t respect you enough to call you and break the news!! Can´t believe that you are harsh on Micah, smh.
Why on earth should the England manager personally call every potentially eligible player to say that he will not feature? That could mean over 50 phone calls. Quite understandable that Pearce should be delegated this particular duty, especially as he knows Micah personally. Micah shot himself in the foot by excluding himself from the stand-by list. Otherwise he would be on the plane right now.

If i was micah, i'd be fucking insulted if i wasn't included in the squad.
He is the best right back in the country, and that's not being biased.
Has had an excellent season, and has earnt a premier league winners medal.

Furthermore, I would rather have seen Rodwell included instead of that **** Parker.
Sturridge, Crouch and Holt are all miles better than Carroll aswell!
To name another few.

I'll be watching the tournament, and i'm looking forward to watching some football.
But I just cannot, and have never been able to bring myself to be excited about watching England.

Bollocks. Calling people dropped from the previous squad and those who were asked to go on the standby list would have taken no time. Roy called every other player on the standby list personally, Pearce isnt even on his coaching staff.

To the people saying "Oh, you should get behind England, as it's just like getting behind City in the old days; crap players, crap manager, crap football" etc., it really isn't at all! Remember England played very well in the Capello qualifiers for WC2010. So... it's all about the arseholes they have playing for them. Can anyone really get behind a team of Terrys and Rooneys and Rios and Gerrards that we've had for the last 10 odd years?

Oh, and finally, can't believe that any real City fan would think Micah is in the wrong; the way he's been treated is an absolute disgrace. No-one is saying he deserves an automatic first-team spot, but to be denied even the opportunity... it stinks.

Exactly this, I don't blame Micah for telling them to shove it. If Roy wanted him on the reserves list he should have had the decency to call him himself. Getting Pearce to do it, when he isn't even a part of the England set-up is nothing short of outrageously disrespectful.

With the debacle that is the selection of John Terry on "football reasons" (which is bollocks because he has been shit all season) while he's on a racist abuse charge, I just can't see how Roy Hodgeson could have handled the selection of his squad any worse. It's an absolute farce, I just hope that Joe and Joleon get back safe in a couple of weeks time and aren't forever stained with the critisism this England side is going to get.

Everything about the England set-up is mediocre, everything.

I'm not going to go on a vendetta against Hodgson and England because of the squad that he picks. Unlike many fools on here

This is bollocks from start to finish, but thankfully other posters have already stated the reasons so I don't have to.

But isn't it that kind of arrogant attitude which makes so much of this England squad unlikeable?
