I thought the plan was to use a workhorse midfielder in Parker, a winger who doesn't create in Downing and a striker who can't score, control, pass, run, play football or function as a person in Carroll?

There's never any atmosphere around, no English banter, no optimisim, there's a hope they'll fail from a lot of English fans.
I think the English aren't exactly the happiest camp, and in general English fans aren't the most popular.
The booing seems to start 5 minutes in, and is never ending. There seems to be a lack of the nation being able to enjoy themselves.
There's no banter, no optimism. In general at home and abroad the feeling isn't positive.

For once I'd like to see a bit of typical club banter on the international scene.

On another note, saw this on twitter, can't stop laughing at it.

English Media calling the Hosts for racism. Think they have forgot John Terry on a racist abuse charge. Wooney who cant play before were eliminated. And joke right backs who cant defend.

Fact is there´s just no hope with the myopic governing body we have in situe - not really down to the fans that. England SHOULD be right in there amongst the big boys but we´re not. Other countries treat there national teams with reverence and override club football completely.
When our FA wakes up and smells the fookin coffee I´ll start to get excited again. England fans , who nearly always outnumber every other country in major tournaments are treated like shite

Fuck sake. You get images of the stunners from Russia and that's the best we can come up with. Depressing.

To be fair the bird in the middle wouldn't look half bad with some hair.

This is how I feel.

I'll be watching the Euros, but won't give a flying fuck when England finish bottom of their group.

As a Scot thats not attending (again) I'm baffled by your dislike for your national team. I travel all over with Scotland and watch some utter gash, but you have a half decent team. I'm not being smart, arsey or anything else, genuinly curious as to why you couldn't care less about your national team?

It's not a question of not caring less - but passionately despising the likes of shrek, young, cole, terry et al throughout the domestic season and then suddenly donning a cloak of hypocrisy and wishing them success at international level doesn't sit well with me. I hope the City lads do well but the idea of supporting England leaves me cold - as it has since the mid-90's. Although I respect those like the OP who get behind them, my feelings towards England are diametrically opposed to those that I have for City.
